The Sewing Notions we all Need

If you, like me, love the accessories of a craft then you may have heard of notions. Notions are the accessories that are involved with sewing. Notions traditionally refer to closers like snaps, hooks, elastic, and buttons. However notions can also mean accessories like needles, marking pens, snips, pins, and seam rippers.

Like any ambitious sewist I went to my local Joann's and purchased an armful of these items. Little did I realize most of these little objects would become neglected in the back of my drawer while the snips, needle minder, and tape measure can always be found on top of my Sewing Battle Station. But how do we know what to buy? And what about quality? Are French manufactured needles truly superior to all others? These are the questions we are going to cover in this blog.
